HOMEMADE BEAUTY PRODUCTS
I am a huge advocate for anything natural and this of course includes beauty products. A lot of women (and men) think they need 197 different expensive cremes and masks to look forever young. This is not the case though, this is what the beauty industry wants you to believe, so you spend 2/3 of your paycheck on them. As with so many other things in life, less is more when it comes to our skin. I put together a list of the natural and simple beauty products I use. I only use organic.
MASKS
Deep cleanse mask
1 tbsp of Indian clay
1 tsp of activated charcoal
2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar or chamomile tea (chamomile tea is more calming where as apple cider vinegar is more harsh. Always do a test patch on your skin to see how it reacts)
Hydrating mask
1/2 of a ripe avocado
½ lemon juice
1 tbsp of vegan honey (raw medicinal honey is best)
Anti age cacao mask
2 tbsp of raw cacao powder
½ ripe banana
Hydrating and cleansing mask
1 tbsp of Indian clay
1 tbsp of rose water
1 tsp of pure E-vitamin oil
Boosting and brightning mask
1 tbsp of green matcha powder (you can also open your tea bag and pour in the content if you only have the tea version)
2 tsp of agar agar
2 tbsp of hot water
(This mask is fun because it sits like a gel layer on your skin and you can pull it off like a rubber mask, extra points)
Coconut and avocado hair mask
1/2 ripe avocado
1/2 banana
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp of olive oil
2 tbsp of coconut milk (i use the can one that you would usually use for cooking as well)
Natural beauty products I use
Pure A-vitamin oil on my face every day – this is the strongest and most effective anti aging oil. It is literally pure retinol in a natural form.
Pure jojoba oil on my face every day – jojoba oil is an amazing natural moisturizer for your face because it doesn’t clock the pores – like coconut oil for example – and it naturally evens out the oil production in our skin.
Pure Shea butter as a moisturizer, often I mix it with pure E-vitamin oil, which is great for stretch marks and scars. This is an extremely hydrating combo so very good for dry winter skin or if you’ve been in the sun the whole day.
Natural Jade roller to massage my skin every morning and night, to calm and tighten.
Pure virgin Olive oil as a scalp treatment. This one is so good if you have a tendency to have a dry scalp, like me. Heat it up a little bit (be careful) and massage it in your scalp and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Very important to note that you have to put shampoo in BEFORE you put water in your hair when you have to get the oil out. Otherwise you will have greasy hair for days.
Hvad bruger du af makeup? 🙂

I love your post, but I have absolutely no idea where to buy the ingredients in Copenhagen. Do you order the oils a so forth online? 🙂

Hey Sofia! thank you. You can get most of the stuff in a health store, otherwise I get stuff like the Clay on Ebay x

Also, my mom works at a health store called Sund Fornuft in Classensgade 3, there you can get everything for sure (if you have trouble finding it elsewhere) x
